5 reasons to watch Raabta this Friday

From the looks of it, Raabta is something different. Yes we know that the Punar janam thing has been done to death but it feels a little fresh in Raabta. Sushant Singh Rajput has proved his mantle as an actor with hits like M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and is on his way to become the next big thing of Bollywood. Kriti Sanon, on the other hand, has failed to make her mark in Bollywood so far. With movies like Heropanti and Dilwale in her bag, she hasn’t done anything out of the ordinary. However, she looks promising in the trailers. If you’re having a hard time deciding to watch it or not, here are 5 reasons that will help you make up your mind:

1. The cast looks promising

Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon

The chemistry between the lead actors shows in the trailers. Both Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon looks lovely together. We also have Jim Sarbh from the Neerja Fame as the villain. It will be exciting to watch all these actors working together as their acting styles differ from each other.

2. The music has been topping the charts

Deepika Padukone in Raabta

Raabta’s music is an all time hit! Whether it’s Arijit’s Ik Vaari Aa or Atif’s Darasal, the music is on everyone’s lips these days and for good reason. Deepika’s sizzling Raabta song has crossed over 30 million views on YouTube. Now that says something.

3. The ‘twist’

Jim Sarbh Raabta

1 minute into the trailer you feel Raabta is just another new age love story with the leads facing commitment issues. But when the trailer crosses that 60 second mark, you know it’s not your average love story. The story is different and the line ‘Everything is connected’ shows that it’s going to be a thrilling watch.

4. Rajkummar Rao

Rajkummar Rao Raabta

May seem like we’re piggybacking on point number 1 but LOOK AT THIS! Rajkummar Rao deserves a special mention. He looks scary as hell in this picture. Kudos to him and the makeup team that made him look so freaking haunting.

5. Raabta is directed by Dinesh Vijan

Dinesh Vijan Raabta

Dinesh Vijan, who has previously produced films like Love Aaj Kal, Finding Fanny and Cocktail has directed Raabta. It’s good to know that the fate of the movie is in good hands!

The lead actors have been on a solid promotion drive for this movie. Sushant Singh Rajput is however has quite a lot in his plate these days. Recently he he was seen with Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan who is going to make her debut with Sushant in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. But both Sushant and Kriti have been promoting Raabta with quite an effort these days. Will their efforts fetch results? Find out on 9th June!
