The Chainsmokers top 5 songs to get you through Tuesday

The Chainsmokers, a relatively new American DJ duo, took the internet by storm with their song ‘#Selfie’’ in 2014. However, for the duo Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, #Selfie was just a beginning. With blockbuster singles like Don’t let me down and Closer, The Chainsmokers have become one of the most followed EDM-pop duo of the world. Their songs have that quirk and feel that lightens the mood and make the body move - the prerequisites of the ultimate party songs. So, to make your Tuesday awesome (which is just another way of saying ‘to get you through the horrendous second day of the week’), we bring you 5 of The Chainsmokers songs which will help you fight that Tuesday trauma:

1. Closer

The Chainsmokers Closer is different from the rest of their songs. Why? Because it is the only songs that features vocals of someone from the DJ Duo, Andrew Taggart. Taggart with the lead singer Hasley, became the duo’s first song to become number-one single on the chart.

2. Don’t Let Me Down

Don’t Let Me Down brought the duo in the top tens...which is not say that their previous songs were bad. But Don’t Let Me Down became the ultimate party song of 2016 for a reason. The lyrics “crashing, hit a wall, right now I need a miracle” sung by the singer Daya were incredible. Don’t Let Me Down became the first song of both The Chainsmokers and Daya to reach the top 5 on Hot 100 and they even won a Grammy for it.

3. New York City

New York City wasn’t as commercially successful as duo’s other songs but it did reach top 25 on the Billboard’s Dance/Electronic songs. It was the fifth single from Bouquet, The Chainsmokers’ debut EP.

4. Roses

Roses featured the singer Elizabeth Mencel and was the third song of their debut EP, Bouquet. The single has less EDM and more pop than their other songs and was relatively  less successful than other songs in their discography.

5. Paris

The Chainsmokers Paris was released as a radio single to promote their first album, Memories...Do Not Open. Paris followed Closer, the duo’s most successful song yet and was a huge success in itself.

So there, plug in your headphones and fight your way through Tuesday. I’ll keep you posted if there’s any The Chainsmokers new song get released. I’ve got just one thing to say...Don’t Let Me Down.
