Justice League releases on 17th November and it's just ten more days for the mega DC event. It's been more than an year that the first JL trailer dropped and ever since, fans have been devouring all the trailers and clips that have come out and have nearly pieced the movie together.
Steppenwolf played by Ciarán Hinds has significant screen time in the trailer along with a couple of lines. We see Wonder Woman and Batman engaged with a parademon and then Cyborg taking control of the BatCrawler from Alfred, reconfiguring it and attacking Steppenwolf.
The latest trailer and probably the final one has dropped and it has the first clear view of the movie’s primary nemesis, Steppenwolf the general of Darkseid who is the ruler of the planet Apokolips. The recent trailer also gives insight into a lot of other things and it's time we do quick recap before catching the movie in theatres soon.
However its easy task for Steppenwolf to stop the attack. The scene for this battle is in a tunnel under the Gotham harbor and Steppenwolf breaks the tunnel to flood and drown the JL members who are saved by Aquaman and we see a display of his trident’s power. This scene assembles all the major characters in the movie and is easily identified as one of the important scenes.
Steppenwolf has already been referenced in BvS director’s cut and a previous JL trailer shows him engaged in battle with the Amazonians. DC fans who are familiar with comic lore already know what to expect since parademons and Steppenwolf and Lex Luthor’s ominous warnings in BvS have all hinted towards this.
All the hints in these recent trailer confirms the fact that Steppenwolf and his parademons are here to search for the mother boxes that they have planted on Earth a long time back. This is also evident from another scene in the new trailer which supposedly precedes the Steppenwolf battle scene.
We see iconic Gotham Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, played by J.K. Simmons awaiting for Batman to appear by the Bat Signal. Soon The Dark Knight appears along with Wonder Woman and The Flash. The conversation veers of towards parademons abducting people associated with Star Labs where a mother box was housed and has now become a part of Victor Stone rendering him as Cyborg. Soon Cyborg appears on the seen and we learn that the parademons sighted in and around Gotham and Metropolis maybe seeking refuge under the tunnels of Gotham harbor
The scene ends in a comical way and is evident of the fact that reshoots by Joss Whedon has lent more humour than Snyder originally planned
Subsequent clips include extended scene of previously released clips of Wonder Woman fighting some terrorists who have rigged a time bomb meant to kill quite a few hostages.
Bruce Wayne can then be seen in Barry Allen’s lair where he decodes what the Flash suit is made of and we get a hint of Flash having fought Gorilla Grodd when he says he knows Gorilla sign language along with other witty inside jokes.
We also see Bruce Wayne meeting up with Arthur Curry a.k.a Aquaman and riling him up by hinting that he knows about Atlantis and invites him to join the team he is building.
With no sight of Superman yet in any of the clips, it is the most anticipated thing about the movie. Though Clark Kent has been revealed in a previous clip as a memory of Lois Lane however Superman coming to save the day is what fans and nerds will look most eagerly towards in the movie.
